01. General Information

The information provided by Kuno Lapidary ("we," "us," or "our") on www.kunolapidary.com (the "Site") is for general informational and educational purposes only. All information on the Site is provided in good faith; however, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information on the Site.

02. Geological Identification Disclaimer

"A photo cannot replace a refractometer."

Gemstone and mineral identification is a complex scientific process that requires hands-on testing with calibrated instruments (refractometers, spectroscopes, specific gravity balances).

  • Visual identification from photographs is never definitive.
  • We cannot be held responsible for misidentification of specimens based on our guides or tutorials.
  • Always verify findings with a certified gemologist (GIA/FGA) before buying or selling high-value items.

03. Investment & Valuation Disclaimer

The gemstone market is volatile and unregulated. Statements regarding the "value," "price appreciation," or "investment potential" of specific stones (e.g., Tanzanite, Paraiba Tourmaline) are opinions only and should not be construed as financial advice.

Past performance of gemstone prices does not guarantee future results.

04. Lapidary Safety Warning

Lapidary arts involve the use of high-speed rotating machinery, diamond saws, and chemical polishing agents (e.g., Cerium Oxide, Diamond Paste).

  • Silica Dust: Cutting certain rocks generates silica dust, which can cause Silicosis. Always wear N95/P100 respirators and use water-drip systems.
  • Eye Protection: Shattering stones are a common hazard. ANSI-rated safety goggles are mandatory.
  • Chemicals: Read MSDS sheets for all polishing compounds.

Kuno Lapidary assumes no liability for injuries or damages resulting from the attempt to replicate techniques shown on this website.
